A new business
The software for your new business, before you can pay a team of developers
We write the description of your software with you and build a first version you can show your first pilot customers. It is the start of the real system, not a prototype to throw away.
“Our business does not exist yet, but it needs its software to win its first customers.”
How it goes
-
A free 30-minute call
You tell us what your business will do and which process its software must run first.
-
Day one: the description
Together we write down what the software must do, in your words, as a short brief.
-
Day two: the first version
The brief becomes a first version that runs, with example data to show it.
-
Show it
Your first pilot customers, partners or investors try the first version in the cloud, on example data.
-
Grow it
The next parts are added to the same software, and it goes live in your own cloud account when you are ready.
The software only, and all of it yours
A new business usually meets its software problem early: the first customers expect something that works, and a development team is not yet affordable. A click-through mock-up convinces nobody for long, and a prototype has to be thrown away the day it succeeds.
Here the first version is built on the same foundation as the finished system. It runs your process, with your words on the screens and example data behind them, and it grows part by part as the business does.
What we do is the software: we ask what it must do, write it down with you and build it. The decisions about your business itself, its model, its financing and its market, stay yours.
What you keep
- A first version that is the beginning of your production system, in a repository you own
- The description of your software, in your own words
- An open-source foundation, so a developer you hire later can carry on
Frequently asked questions
Do you also advise on our business model or financing?
No. We build the software only: no advice on the business model, financing or the market. For those questions we gladly point you to people who do that.
Is this a prototype?
No. The first version is the start of the real system. It is extended, not rewritten, when your business grows.
Can our own developers take over later?
Yes. The software is ordinary code on an open-source framework, with its documentation in public.
