The technology behind every Reventless app is open source. The paid parts make you faster and take work off your hands; your app, your data and the technology they run on never depend on them.
What the framework is
The Reventless framework is the technology every Reventless app runs on. It turns a description of a business, what can be asked, what is decided, what is recorded and what is shown, into a working application with its interfaces and its cloud infrastructure, and it keeps every decision as a permanent record. Development of the framework started in 2019, and it has run applications in production in the financial industry for more than six years. Since 2026 the same framework is open source under the Apache 2.0 licence, and its development continues in the open.

Why it matters that everything rests on open source
It does not depend on one company
The licence cannot be withdrawn. The technology your business runs on outlives any vendor, us included. That is the honest answer to “what if something happens to you?”
You can check it
Your IT, an auditor or a security reviewer can read every line that runs your business, and its tests, in public.
Your data stays in open formats
The paid tools change how fast you work, never what you own. Your models, your code and your records stay readable without them.
It runs where you must
Open source runs in your own cloud account today, and later on a sovereign cloud or in your own data centre, without anyone’s permission.
Others can learn it
The documentation is public, so your own developers, a new hire or another agency can learn it without us.
Honestly: the framework is in alpha. The written promise that every later release reads your records comes with the beta.
